Cool things

Mom's new place has a lot of cool perks. Like today, she is having some basic tests done for her new doctor. The doctor came to mom's room and stayed with her for over an hour talking to her, getting to know her and doing a physical examination. She will visit mom at least once a month. The tests that she ordered for mom are basic blood and urine tests, but the great part for mom is that they come to her!. Any blood samples are taken in her room. THey also bring here her daily pills, so she doesnt have to keep track of that anymore.
The doctor also noticed that mom's feet needed some care, and said she needed a podiatrist visit, who will also come to her room! Mom is starting to feel pampered. Now we have to talk her into going to the dentist. She has a number of teeth that need attention...

All in all she came through this big week very well. When I left her last night she was sitting up in bed watching Big Bang Theory. She was wearing a very pretty silky set of sleepers that she said Bobbie gave her. Very happy. It's gong to snow tonight and tomorrow. She's excited to watch it come down, from the comfort of her warm, cozy room....

Moving In

Well, we moved her in. She is very comfy, quite excited.

First Blog

Today we are moving Nellie into her new room. We will be posting stuff about her and from her for everyone so that anyone who wants to keep up with her will be able to. I will take some pictures and tell everyone about it later today.

She was simply amazing yesterday. Perky, upbeat, even coming off the plane. Then she got tired... As Dana and Marisa took care of some things, I stayed with her in the hotel when she took a nap. After the nap we talked and watched golf.
